Earlier this summer our group had the privilege of working with an incredibly dear family. Our history together dates back to when they were first engaged. Needless to say, when they reached out to us to sell their perfectly quaint Myers Park home we were thrilled.
Those who have gone through the process of selling a home knows just how stressful it is or can be. The preparations, the staging, the cleaning (and KEEPING it clean!), the showings, the cancellations, the feedback, the inspections, the appraising (did we or didn’t we?), the negotiations, the repairs, the relo specialists (i.e., “a million cooks in the kitchen”)…and the list goes on and on.
With Jessica and Larry their experience was no different. Except. In the mix of it all…
Despite the hustle and bustle of a final walk-thru and closing, they commissioned the uber talented husband/wife photography team at The Beautiful Mess to document their final good-byes.
In the early morning hours, they shared beautiful moments on camera as they reflected on their first home. The home where they started their family. The home in which they brought their babies home to for the first time. The home that hosted countless birthday parties, bbq’s, holiday gathering and movie nights.
Desensitizing your home to just a house is not an easy transition. Letting go of a place full of life’s most memorable experiences is hard.
The message that our Charlotte community received yesterday was so powerful.
“Take a moment to pause and document your life’s most precious milestones.”
Thank you, Jessica and Larry for allowing us to share your story. And to Candice and Daniel (The Beautiful Mess), we cannot wait to suggest this to all our clients!! THANK YOU!
